I bought this sheet set nearly a year ago, and I love it. We upgraded from a 200 thread count sheet set, and these feel like heaven in comparison. Very soft, very cool and comfortable. The color is a true black, and after washing them, they still retain the color and haven't faded. (Machine dried.)The fitted sheet fits great over our queen sized pillow top mattress, with plenty of room to tuck in underneath the mattress. We absolutely love the comforter - we used to have two on our bed, but the down alternative comforter that came with this set made those two obsolete. Where we had to pile on two just to keep warm, this single, lighter comforter keeps us warm even through the coldest winter nights. This can, however, make it quite warm in the summer months. However, since it's so much lighter, there's no weight and it's easy to kick off.The cover for it is a little fiddly; it is a large 'pillowcase' that slides over the top of the white comforter. Inside in each corner of the cover are little ties to secure the corners of the comforter to prevent it from slipping and bunching. This is helpful but you may find yourself shaking it out from time to time to get it to spread out properly. It's fastened by buttons along the lower edge.I only have two caveats: first being that my husband is a bit of a roller. Without fail, every night, he seems to pull up his side of the fitted sheet and it ends up on top of the bed with the mattress exposed. Every night, we tug it down and tuck it back under. It feels that the fitted sheet is a little loose and doesn't quite 'snap' around the mattress as tightly as other sheets.The other is simply the color - I love the black, but I'll point out that anything, meaning anything, will show up on these sheets. Fluff, hair, deodorant, drool and more. I end up washing these more than my other sheets for this reason. I would just suggest taking care to wash them separately to ensure no dyes run, especially for the first few washes.Not as soft as I hoped, given the thread count. I had to wash them several times with fabric softener.Smooth, silky, launders perfectly - wonderful purchase and I recommend thesesheets to anyone who wants the feeling of luxury at a more than fair price.
